House of Hungary Brussels

Dear Visitor,

It is a great honor for us to welcome you to the official website of the House of Hungary in Brussels!

Our website aims to provide a comprehensive overview of our activities and values, as well as an insight into our various events, programs, and innovative initiatives. The House of Hungary in Brussels is not merely a Hungarian representation in the city; it is also a central venue for strengthening Hungarian-Belgian relations and hosting significant political, professional, economic, and cultural events related to the European Union.

This distinguished building, representing national pride and Hungarian identity, was revitalized in the spirit of modern sophistication in 2024. Its interior design concept was inspired by thematic spaces typical of urban palaces—such as the cigar room, blue salon, and library. In some of the representative rooms of this diplomatic building, we have curated thematic displays that reflect Hungary’s position in Europe and globally, and strengthen our national image. Literature and painting are featured on the ground floor, while on the first floor, visitors can get a taste of the best of Hungarian music, folk art, and science, and our wine culture is showcased in the cellar.

This thematic arrangement allows us to draw from our historical heritage while offering insights into the values of our present. We have drawn inspiration from our literature and painting achievements at the European level, our musical traditions, unique folk art, the accomplishments of our Nobel laureates, and the diversity of our wine culture, which mirrors the varied Hungarian landscape.

Our goal is to provide a unique space in this building and its surroundings for programs that promote dialogue, cooperation, and new perspectives in the heart of the European Union. We also aim to enhance Hungary’s reputation and showcase its values.

We sincerely hope you have an interesting and inspiring visit!
